I obtained services from this family / home daycare, dayhome and I find that:

"Brittany's Home Daycare (Brittany Lynne Gillman)
As a former nanny and instructor in ECE, I must say that Brittany had some major deficiencies in her provisions of childcare.

We went with a home daycare because we wanted a home environment, and one that was also flexible with a military schedule as well. Some major issues were:

1) Professionalism - discussing private information in a public forum.
2) No outside time - although she wasn't licensed and isn't required to meet the same standards for outside play, there was no outside play daily, and sometimes not weekly.
3) Naptimes - she exceeded the allowable time for nap times (2 hours for a child after lunch) and our daughter would come home unable to sleep at night because she was spending up to 3 hours in the afternoon napping.
4) TV - we had expressed that we would prefer no tv time in daycare because we would prefer our children to have interaction with others. However, when we dropped our children off and picked them up, the TV was always on.
5) Contract - she had asked for prepayment of fees and decided to end her contract upon learning about her pregnancy, and then wanted to keep our deposit as her "severance pay"
6) Cancelling - she would cancel on short notice if she had a job come up for her photography business and give other excuses as to why she couldn't work. One time, she canceled upon us arriving on the door. She would also work on her photography business while our daughters were in her care. My oldest daughter told us she would spend time on her computer editing while she watched tv.
7) No crafts - not once during her care did our daughter bring home any craft item or show us one that she made.
8) No communication - she had refused to complete any kind of communication book or information sheet about our children's day and when asking about it, she said we would be better suited to a centred-based daycare if that's what we were looking for.

I'm pretty objective, and we gave Brittany many opportunities, however, I would suggest she review the Day Nurseries Act and the code of ethics from the College of ECE for some guidance on standards of practice."

I obtained services from this family / home daycare, dayhome and I find that:

"When our children started at this daycare I understood that there would be some adjustment period for our girls. Sadly this was not the case. Everyday I dropped them off our oldest would always say daddy I don't like it there I don't want to go and it would be a struggle to leave her, this was never the case with our previous provider. As the weeks went on it became apparent that there was no concern for our children and despite many conversations about issues we were having with regards to TV, lack of outdoor play ect nothing was ever listened to nor respected. She continually does what she wants to please herself and is completely unprofessional. At least once a week she would message, not even call, late the night before and inform us she couldn't watch our children because she booked an appointment or had to go see a friend who just had a baby. At the time of this post our children have been removed from her daycare due in part to her many glaring issues and the fact that she thought it was a good idea to post a rather long rant on Facebook about how we wanted to pay her by cheque rather than email money transfer. To each their own, you can make the decision for yourself. My wife has a PhD in education and I am a very well respected individual withing my community so this post is not being written be a disgruntled individual with no education."
