    I agree put him down earlier ... If he's rubbing his eyes at 9 then put him to bed at 9 or even 8:30.... Wake him after 30-45 mins and take him outside before he goes down for the aft nap .... Fresh air makes them sleep better. Good luck

    woman after my own heart - this is so very very very true ... the days when it rains and we cannot get out afternoon nap is never as smooth for them being able to fall asleep and as a result never as 'long' either
