Yes, make sure you have a sick policy. If possible, bold the whole thing. I have had way too many children show up here with fevers and green mucous lately. UGH!

Also the fees thing - upfront, including the specific DAY you wish to be paid, and if I had to do it over again, I'd include a penalty for being late with payments.

Would anyone care to share how they would word this? I need to start the paid for the week ahead method and I want payments on Thursdays....so if late and no $ on Friday they get a suspension of care letter for Monday. THANKS!!

    Mine says,
Payment for care is due weekly and in advance, by 6pm on the Friday before the week that care is provided. I accept cash, email money transfers, or direct deposit into my bank account. I do implement late fees.

YES THE PENALTY. I am revising my contract, registration, and child profiles for next year. Glad i started early as a few posts that have come up recently have been very helpful.

    THE PENALTY IS KEY!!!!!

I don't understand why parents think its ok to be 'just a few days' late on payment. What would they do if THEIR boss just 'FORGET' (whoopsi!) to pay them? I've had so much trouble with this
