What do they mean when they say you called selfishly to protect yourself, not the child? To protect yourself from what?

I believe they mean to "cover herself" in case something did happen to the kid.

Hmm, that doesn't make sense ....unless she called CFS on all the families? I just keep thinking that judge is an idiot...

You are absolutely right, none of it makes sense. I may have said this before... but there are some people who don't "believe" in daycare. I have had several parents over the years tell me that a doctor told them their kids shouldn't be in daycare. So maybe this judge is one of those. ???

Oh my....I get that some don't "believe" in daycare for their family (and that's fine!) but to have a doctor say they shouldn't be in one is just ridiculous!!

One of our colleagues is under fire! If you read the comments after some of the news stories and articles, poor Tammy is being ripped apart. I feel for her. It took a lot of courage to go to the media and it is unfair to be raked over the coals. If you want to support Tammy I would suggest you respond to some of these negative commenters to help counter some of the negativity/educate some of the "haters, send her a PM of encouragement. Imagine if this was you!

I finally had a chance to read some of the articles. I'm really surprised that the Minister of Children and Youth agreed with the judge. That seems like a dangerous precedent.

A few tips...

Always ensure that your child receives quality care by taking the time to investigate the provider and by asking for references! We simply cannot verify the claims of every daycare provider.
Updates
We expect providers to keep their listing and available openings up-to-date. However, to prevent oversights, openings expire after 45 days.
