From my understanding, all daycares in Ontario have to be insured as of sept 1, 2015.
Personally, I think that it is stupid, reckless and entirely unprofessional. Everyone feel free to sh@t on me, but that's he way that I feel
Unfortunately, with today's perception of home based daycare , I believe that we need to do everything in our power to not only seem, but be professional.
And just like any other business we need/ should have insurance.

Just wondering what the hell happened to warrant that explosion? We are all talking about how to get insurance in this thread, not how to avoid it!

pardon???? what explosion? someone mentioned that some places don't need insurance, and i personally know alot of providers that feel they don't or shouldn't have it. I was not directing my comment at anyone, nor felt I was attacking anyone, in fact just the opposite.

A few tips...

If you visited or if you're using a childcare provider found on DaycareBear, do not hesitate to leave a review. This will most certainly help other parents!
Updates
We expect providers to keep their listing and available openings up-to-date. However, to prevent oversights, openings expire after 45 days.
