I got 6000 of my daily 10k steps in by 10am I would love to do this daily as I got a really good sweat on...eww I know lol, and really got some rapid breathing going on as I pushed the stroller up and down some hills so I think I got a half decent cardio session in. I am going to get a monitor to keep track of it. I'm knackered now but feel great to be honest.
Good job!! I have a spark activity tracker and some days I have a hard time reaching the 10k steps goal... I think it might not be tracking well lol because sometimes I walk 4km and it still shows I'm under!

I definitely would say you got a good cardio session! Pushing a stroller with 2 or more kids is lots of work lol. When I had my quad stroller I would sweat buckets just in a 1km trip. I'm so glad I have a jogging type stroller now, way easier to maneuver but I still get a good workout because I can walk faster.

I have dropped 5lbs since I started walking daily and tracking my calories (I think about 3 weeks?) and there have been cheat days in there so I am very happy about that. I am trying not to put so much pressure on myself for perfection- and this time around it has been working I'll go out for a meal once in a while and not worry that it's a billion calories, then the next day I track again. As long as it's not every other day, this method works for me. Plus, I've been biking and watching tv or listening to music for about 45 min each night (on the days I can't get out to walk). Right now it's spring break so I don't have to walk to the school. Come next week, it's back to 5k/day round trip.

As far as diet goes, I've almost completely cut wheat out. Not because it's a fad, but because I've figured out that it genuinely does NOT make me feel good at all... that and sugar but I'm working on that one

Thanks for keeping things going ladies! Love reading your posts

Well I started this post so determined and positive to get back into shape and LOVED the support you all ladies gave. THEN I had a very busy 3 weeks (bday parties, entertaining, cooking, baking, cake decorating, sewing orders) it was insane. So I fell off the workout/diet wagon and gained my 10lbs that I had lost right back now that things are finally back to a normal busy (lol) I need to get things going again and I'm having a VERY Hard time doing so. I have my last cake order to complete today so I can focus on me again!

Bright Sparks, those classes sound amazing ! I'd love to attend some of those but I don't think they offer them here. I should check it out.

I totally understand, this was me last year! I had a lot on the go ( I do cakes too -not as many since we moved provinces though) and with kids underfoot etc, it makes it difficult. Just get back on track! You can do it and if all else fails and you don't have time for exercise, make sure your diet in those days is as close to ideal as possible... Easier said than done I know lol.

    Today is a new day!

On a side note I did my first day of the pop Pilates yesterday and almost died lol. Then this morning the calendar said to do a one minute plank. Not happening! Ha ha. I probably could have done one yesterday morning, before I did 30 minutes of Pilates but my abs could not take one minute of plank after all the work they did last night. I feel so out of shape! But it makes me even more determined to do the one month and say I survived!

Thanks! We'll I haven't worked out yet, but I did start dieting again. And to my surprise I didn’t gain the 8 lbs back, I gained 3....i just feel bloated and tired. Exercising sure helps! I will definitely get back into exercising this week! I checked out the calendar you mentioned and registered today. Let's see what comes out of that!

Good for you ! I love hearing about all of you working out, it really draws me in, I find it so encouraging ! Keep it up!

I was thinking about this thread last night. Well I have daycare mom who decided to get fit. Which is great, but one of the problems is that she is neglected her kids which equals in a horrible diaper rash.

also, I think the way she going about it is all wrong. so at the gym there is a fitness trainer who is helping her. But all she drink is the protien drinks. And doesn't eat any sugar, or real food. I'm sorry but to me that is so unrealistic. The problem with it is that sure she is losing weight but she will also gain it all back once she stops.

Ouch! That's inexcusable behaviour towards her kids and kind of ridiculous to be honest. The amount of time it takes to change a diaper is all of 2 minutes and what the heck is she doing throughout the day to neglect the child to the point that they are not being changed? Not sure its just because she is taking an hour out of her day to exercise. That simply wouldn't result in diaper wash...must be more to it I think.

Fad diets brainwash the best of us at some point with the "promise" of fast weight loss. Add to that a so called "professional" telling them its okay to do it, I can understand how she could have her head in the clouds. She will learn soon enough. If you are on any kind of "diet" you are doomed to fail eventually. Its not sustainable to eat a highly restricted meal plan. Balance in all areas of life is where success lies but we are surrounded by so many influences brainwashing us to think and believe otherwise. Not to mention the fact that it is easier said than done.
